2011 Infiniti QX56 SUV Looks Impressive At NY Auto Show

The 2011 Infinity QX56 is making quite a splash at the New York Auto Show. Cirque de Soleil performers writhed around the smoother body lines of the new QX, which distinguish it from its predecessor. The box-like bodylines are gone and many other improvements were made.

The Same But More

Although Infinity Nissan (OTC:NSANY) stayed with its familiar 5.6-liter engine, they are extracting 25% more horsepower and 10% better fuel economy by using direct injection and variable valve timing. The increase in horsepower also affects towing capabilities. This new 2011 QX can tow a formidable 8,500 pounds in either the two or four-wheel drive configurations. To keep you on the road, the QX56 now has active suspension to help keep it flat through hard turns. The combination of better horsepower and active suspension makes it easier to get through traffic and around all obstacles at a moment’s notice.

The Luxury Continues Inside

Without a doubt, Infinity delivers the luxury and refinements expected in this class of vehicle. The Theater Package offers dual 7-inch monitors, headphones, a wireless remote control, auxiliary audio-video jacks, and 120v power outlet. With the Deluxe Touring Package, burl trim and semi-aniline leather seating are available. Other wonderful options include Bluetooth technology and a Bose audio system with a 9.3GB hard drive.

 

Innovative Technology

Standard appointments in the QX56 do not disappoint and optional technological equipment enhances the driving experience. Options range from lane departure warning and prevention to intelligent brake assist and collision warning to front pre-crash seatbelts and auto-leveling headlights. Infinity offers something for everyone in this QX. What may impress buyers most is the fact that while the QX56 has some major revisions, the price has not been revised at all for 2011. The new 2011 models go on sale this summer and are worth a look.
