Coppenhagen Sham! Pelosi Scamming Americans Again

It seems the government has found another way to make the American taxpayers look like lame ducks. As President Obama has us looking this way by trying to force his health care reform down our throats, it seems that Pelosi and her pals are running wild and free with our money.

Pelosi Puffs Chest On Climate Summit – Wastes More Money

The Copenhagen Climate Summit, in Denmark, was attended by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who called the shots herself and decided who would attend. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Chairman of the Tax Committee Charles Rangel also were in attendance. But wait, this isn’t even the beginning. They were joined by 17 colleagues from both the Democratic and Republican parties; up to 64 House delegation members who flew using three military planes, which included two 737’s and a Gulf Stream Five; an undisclosed amount of senators and their staff members, most of whom flew commercial; and at least 101 Congress-related attendees. Some got an added perk and were allowed to take their spouses and other family members since they could get an open seat on a military plane or they could share a room at no added cost to the taxpayer.

Another Sham Of Taxpayers Money

But wait! If there were extra seats why did they need so many planes? And with an average of 321 nights booked at Copenhagen’s five star Marriott Hotel, did they think of maybe saving some of that change by doubling up? Oh yeah, they couldn’t because their guests were with them. And how about those tens of thousands of American dollars spent on meals? Did they share their plate with their spouses and family members? I am guessing the answer would be no.

 

Pelosi refused to comment on any of this. So until the facts of all of the investigating into the spending for a climate summit that failed to produce a global climate deal are complete, we can only take the silence as the answer.
