Feds Waste More Bailout Stimulus Money On Border Station In Maine

Anyone who has been to Maine knows the border crossings, while not luxury outposts, do not need additional features. Though traffic has increased, it is not a place to wait long in order to cross the border. Along with stimulus money for a border station, some of the stimulus money might be employed for bringing broadband to Maine. Rural areas that are not economically feasible to connect via broadband usually use satellite connections. Though Maine does have a scarcity of broadband access, it should not come from stimulus money.

Money For Snowe And Collins

The two Republican senators from Maine, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins did not even vote for Healthcare reform. Yet, the President is rewarding their state like he rewards our enemies, namely the Palestinians, Chinese and anyone else, whom he believes he can bring around with “soft words. Perhaps he is “buttering” them up for the future. These two women are barely Republicans anyway, the state might as well vote in a pair of Democrats.

While writing this article, outside in the street, the stimulus money is hard at work putting new signs in for traffic that are totally unnecessary. They are very legible and easy to read in their present form, if one knows English. But, the stimulus money has to be seen at work, since unemployment has not decreased and is locked in at 9.7%.

 

Stimulus Money For The Protection Of The Southern Border

Instead of wasting money in Maine on a rural border crossing, a fence should be constructed from east to west and then double it back again from west to east, with a no man’s land in between. It would keep out the illegals and stop the suppliers of weapons to “La Familia” and other gangs. This would be money put to good use for the national good. Stimulus money should be for the nation at large, not rewards to unions and to buy votes.
