Football: Minnesota Vikings Is Team To Beat In 2010

So what does this mean for the Vikings franchise? How about being the number one contender for Super Bowl XLV! Now that Favre has made it official, many sportscasters believe the Vikings will become the forty-fifth Lombardi trophy champions.
The All-Star Roster
The Vikings roster is made up of some of the best players around the league. For starters, there is Adrian Peterson, who many consider the best running back in the game. Then there is Jared Allen who is the league’s leading sacker, the Williams’ Wall who can block just about any run game, not to mention Ryan Longwell, one of the most accurate kickers the NFL as ever seen. With the all-star lineup mostly healthy, Vikings fan are sure to be in for a great season.
The entire team seems to be at the top of their game. With Favre at the helm, wide receivers Percy Harvin, Bernard Berrian, and Sidney Rice are once again going to shatter records. The offensive line includes Pro Bowl Guard Steve Hutchinson. Jared Allen, Pat and Kevin Williams, Antoine Winfield, E.J. Henderson, and Ray Edwards will all be returning to the Vikings defensive roster.
The Opening Game
Their regular season opener will be against the New Orleans Saints, who beat the Vikings during the NFC Championship last season in overtime. Many believe that the Vikings/Saints game is going to be a preview for the NFC Championship again this year. For Vikings players, it is the first game towards their journey to Super Bowl XLV and the Lombardi Trophy.
