The Internet has become an important part of people’s lives. According to British media reports, the Norwegian Nobel Committee confirmed that the Internet will “compete” in this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.

Peace Prize Nominee

It is reported that this year’s Nobel Peace Prize nominee will reach 237, a new record. Last year’s award nominees up to 205, also a record at that time, President Barack Obama won this honor.   A British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) interview, said the agency received a large number of Nobel Peace Prize nominations, “some are nominated by a single person, some by the dozens of people nomination, and some hundreds of persons nominated by.” According to the nomination by the former Nobel Peace Prize winner, national government agencies and certain university professors, etc., were put forward.

The Internet should receive the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize nomination on the grounds that the network has greatly enhanced “dialogue, discussion, and shared views.” In addition, the Internet is also the inventor of three nominees on the list, they are Americans, Roberts, Joseph and the British Berners-Lee, because they invented the Internet makes a similar “push special” kind of micro – blog can be the cause of peace and democracy in the world make an important contribution.

Suspense

The Norwegian Nobel Committee on March 9 held its first meeting, and will eventually select the winners. The Committee is comprised of five members, they also have the right to another to propose candidates. Lunde Si Jebel said on October 8 this year, will officially announce the Nobel Peace Prize winner. Winners may be an individual, but also can be a body. The amount of money in recent years will not be much different.  Last year, Obama won 1.4 million U.S. dollars prize money.
