Oh wait, it was just Jim Bunning. The rest of the senate Republicans recognized the necessity of this legislation - it was a near unanimous vote.. all except for Jim Bunning of course. That is no real surprise. He is old and bitter and stands no chance of reelection. He is not worried about public perception (and I doubt if he had the funds he could convince people he deserves another run). As the selfish ass he is he has nothing to lose.
