Latest On Former Sen Edwards’ Aide Andrew Young’s Book “Politician”

Topping the New York Times list of top political books is “The Politician” written by Senator John Edwards’ former aide, Andrew Young. In his new release, “The Politician”, Andrew Young reveals the ugly inside story of how American presidential politics works and the lies and betrayal that go on behind the scenes, not only in personal lives but in fundraising and the misuse of funds was well.

Lying, Cheating and Stealing

Andrew Young documents his work as an impressionable, young aide for Senator Edwards and the lengths that he was willing to go to in order to be loyal to his boss during his affair with Rielle Hunter as well as supporting him through some questionable spending of campaign funds. Young has gone so far as to assert that Edwards should return some $110 million that was used to support Hunter during her pregnancy among many other personal expenses.

As a result of the affair with Hunter, she became pregnant in 2007 and delivered Senator Edwards’ daughter, Francis Quinn on Feb. 27, 2008. Edwards initially denied paternity of the child until the DNA test indicated that he was in fact the father. Edwards announced shortly thereafter that he was father to Francis Quinn.

 

Legal Woes For Andrew Young

Recently Andrew Young has had to face some legal woes of his own involving a sex tape allegedly made by Senator Edwards and his former mistress Rielle Hunter. Young was declared in contempt of court but was the judge agreed not to have him arrested if he agreed to return to the court the “personal videotape” requested by Hunter. The end of this political mess is no where in sight. Senator Edwards and his wife of over 30 years, Elizabeth have legally separated.
