Obama Healthcare Bill Strips Away America’s Rights
By Donald Griffith on March 22, 2010, 8:20 amThe debate rages on over the proposed healthcare bill sponsored by the democratic majority in congress. Over the past several days, President Obama has fervently campaigned in support for this healthcare bill, which, passed by congress, will give the United States government control of nearly 18% of our nation’s economy.
Health Insurance For All
The very thought of our government having access to, as well as a direct hand in our personal healthcare is at the very least unconscionable. The same government is over a trillion dollars in debt, running out of social security funds for seniors, a national unemployment rate of approximately 10%, and the federal reserve running amok and printing fiat money. To think that American’s could put their trust in this government with the most important aspect of our lives, our health, is ludicrous.
What is the true meaning of health care for every American? In theory, the idea is wonderful. Everyone would be able to afford and have access to vital medical treatment and preventative healthcare. In reality, the government healthcare plan will take away individual healthcare plans that are currently held and in place of it, a government plan which will ultimately increase wait times for doctor’s visits and result in unavoidable rationed healthcare.
Destruction Of Privacy
President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and fellow democrats who support this bill as a means of “giving power back to the people” and remove the power from insurance companies could not be further from the reality. The bill is so enormous and filled with special deals for individual states in return for a “yes” vote on the floor, will strip our privacy rights away, and drags our very Constitution and Bill of Rights through the mud. A government-runned healthcare plan would be the detriment of our Republic.

I am glad that false statements like this aimed at scaring the bill away were unsuccessful. Private insurance is and always was considered to be an option in this bill.
FAIL.
Wow…. Are you for real? I agree that the HC bill kinda sucks but thats because it doesn’t do enough. But how does Health Care equate to a dictatorship? Hmmm. Preventing insurance comapanies from denying coverage, cancelling coverage, closing the doughnut hole , allowing our kids to stay on our family insurance plan until 26. That is defined as “dictatorship” ?
I could’ve entertained the issue of cost and responded by stating that even without this bill, cost would skyrocket based on the price increases of the past 4 years. I could have opined that this is only one one many steps involved in changing health care or better still questioned with you the individual mandate by asking how that differs from Auto insurance(that we are mandated to have). But dictatorship?! You are not ready for an adult conversation, please log on when you grow up. thank you.
