Recent Polls Show Americans Do Not Want Sarah Palin?
By Donald Griffith on January 26, 2010, 3:56 pmAccording to a new CBS News poll, a sizable majority of Americans are not interested in Sarah Palin running for presidential office in 2012. The former vice presidential nominee was only favored by 21 percent of the people polled. By comparison 71 percent were against her running.
Sweetheart Of Republican Party
Palin has been touted as the sweetheart of the Republican party, however this recent poll shows she does not have overwhelming support from her party lines. When results were looked at by party, only 30 percent of Republicans polled were interested in Palin running for office. Though 43 percent of Republicans said they had a favorable image of her, the majority answered that she should not run. As Sarah Palin takes on her new position with Fox News there is a possibility that these numbers will change. However, she could become less favored than she currently is if she does not appeal to more people in her party. Palin’s recent book tour did little to raise her positive perception in current polls, despite expectations that it would.
Independent Vote
Among Independents, only 25 percent polled were in favor of Palin running for president. This number is much lower than some pundits felt it would be. Unsurprisingly, 88 percent of Democrats do not support her run. Though she has not yet announced an official plan to campaign for the next election, these numbers show that she may have a long road ahead of her. Sarah Palin will be speaking at a Tea Party convention in Nashville in February. Among conservatives, this group has backed Palin the most in rumors of her possible campaign. When polled about the Tea Party movement, 69 percent of Americans said they are still undecided and need more information before having an opinion about it.

If the Republican party backs Palin for President, we are certain to lose the 2012 election. When Palen was announced for the Vice President spot, in that moment the election was lost. She just does not have the charisma to win. I can honestly say, I will not vote for her. I do not feel she is good for the party or the White House.
The 2008 election was lost the moment John McCain was nominated. McCain is the biggest loser in Presidential Political History. He’s been running for 20 years and finally got the nomination by seniority. His support was dying and uninspired until he announced Palen for the VP spot. That was the only bright moment of a dull uninspired campaign. It remains to be seen if she will ever run for president but who else is there. Romney is a two faced RINO who will say anything to get elected. Who else? Guess we’ll have to see?

To Debra: If the woman is without charisma why was she courted by Roger Ailes to work for Fox and how is it 2,000,000 of her books are in print, a second is on the way, and at almost every stop along the tour to promote the book, hundreds and sometimes thousands waited in lines–in winter–to get the book signed.

If either of you actually gave a ratsbutt about America’s REAL challenges you would be concerned that only 4% of the citizens of Israel approve of Obama.
Try to get the significance of that. The U.S. only has ONE true ally in the Mideast–the areas ONLY democracy, Israel. It is the ONLY nation in the mideast to have the power and the will to keep Iran from getting nukes.
Now, this is really going to get complicated for the two of you: if Iran gets long-range nuclear capability, it WILL control the Straights of Hormuz. You might not care about that but the nation that controls that body of water can stop oil supply to Japan and the U.S. as well as other countries.
The poll may not say much about your orgasmic 21% but your jawdropping lack of perspective about the larger picture–Obama’s holding out a carrot to America’s enemies and a stick to its allies speaks volumes.
Give Sarah Palin a break! Have we seen many presidents in the past with a mentality past that of a 7th grader?? She does have brains!! and guts. In this last election–people didn’t necessarily vote ‘for’ O’Bama– They were protesting Geo Bush#2. If Sarah had been the Pres. candidate, and handled right she would have been our president right now!! Nothing against MCain. America wants more youth than he had to offer. Sarah Palin is a idiot, plain and simple. This moron and her dysfunctional trailor park family need to go home. The only reason why she gets press is because the other moron John McCain didn’t do his job. His legacy is Sarah Palin and the mess she is doing to divide this counrty. I agree with Jennifer. Sara is an IDIOT. America needs to send her home to take care of her children. If we do not push her back home and lock the door, she will make our country the joke of the world. She already IS the joke of America.
