Sarah Palin Continues To Rustle Congressional Feathers

Sarah Palin turned 46 years of age last February. She has established herself as a politician (former governor of Alaska, vice-presidential candidate in 2008), an author, a speaker, and now she seems to be making her money roaming the country doing speaking engagements.

Palin Very Active Politically During The Last Few Years

When Palin resigned her position as governor of Alaska she cited her reason as ethic complaints that had been filed following her selection as the vice-presidential running mate. She further explained that the complaints had affected her ability to govern Alaksa (many people wonder – if this was the reason, what would she have done had she been elected as vice-president. Would she have resigned?). So, eighteen months prior to the end of her term in Alaska she resigned. There is some speculation that Palin will run for the Republican Party presidential nomination in 2012. Last February she stated she would not close the door to this possibility. However, she also stated that she must feel it is the right thing to do for her country as well as for the Palin family.

Palin Has Become A Writer And A Commentator

She currently has a best-selling book, ‘Going Rogue: An American Life.’ She has been promoting her book, in between political speeches, since it was released earlier in this year. She has also signed a multi-year contract with Fox News Channel. She will be providing political commentary.

Palin Has A New Political Group Called ‘SarahPAC’

However, little has been noted that Sarah Palin has recently created her own political organization named the ‘SarahPAC.’ Through Facebook she urges her followers to “reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people.” The purpose of her political group is to raise funds to target 17 Democrats that voted for the health care reform. The 17 she has targeted all represent districts that she and John McCain carried in the 2008 presidential election. She says that the 17 Democrats can be replaced with ‘Commonsense Conservatives.’
