Sarah Palin, Obama’s Only Chance For A Second Term

By Donald Griffith on March 20, 2010, 7:17 am

Sarah Palin impressed many people in the beginning. This was because her very first interviews were about energy. Coming from an energy state, Governor Palin had some background in this field. In any other matter she was and is a dunce. Now she can be funny and entertain on late night television.

Obama Takes On Palin

Obama is in a deep hole. Even with the Healthcare package in place, no positive bounce will come his way. No person really understands the bill and it took too darn long to pass. President Obama wasted over a quarter of his presidential term with Healthcare Reform. Rumor has him tackling immigration next. Good luck!

He might very well be a one term president. His only salvation is an extreme Republican party that turns to Palin, the ex-governor who could not even finish her term. That will go over big when she campaigns for the Presidency. Her novelty has worn off. At least Glenn Beck can teach basic facts through his chalkboard, to the “bottom of the barrel” in terms of people’s intelligence.

Sarah Palin will look like a fool and give the election to Obama, should she be the candidate of the Republican party. The way things are going in this country, she might be nominated. She will certainly win the primaries, which are geared to the “base” of each party.

Sarah Palin Probably Does Not Want The Responsibility

Unfortunately, Obama will not likely face Sarah Palin. Why would she give up her income from putting out ghost written books and acting like a fool on television? Although her humor has indeed improved somewhat. But her voice can even wear down her strongest supporters.

Obama will face another weak candidate, since aside from Lindsey Graham (R) of South Carolina, there is little else but “dead wood” in the Republican party. Therefore, with Palin as his opponent Obama wins big. Against the rest of the field it is “even money.” Things can change in a hurry.

If I were to set out to write a piece about Barack Obama’s stupidity I would cite his quote of “traveling to over 57 states” or show the picture of his NCAA bracket were he picked “Sycasuse” in the second round.

But see, I’m mature enough to understand that humans are full of mistakes and I would never be stupid enough to underestimate my political rivals intelligence.

You obviously don’t know anything about Sarah Palin or how resigning from the governor’s seat was an example of doing what is best for your people. Obama’s operatives were draining Alaska’s treasury with frivolous lawsuits. She knew she could get her agenda through and save Alaska money and time by handing the keys to her Lt. Governor.

Barack on the other hand, could care less about the American people. He places his ego above all else, forcing socialized medicine down the that of an unwilling public. That is why he is a one-term president. And if Sarah Palin wants to be your next president, she will be.

    Stacy,

For you to spin her quitting as something positive is stunning.

Reading your post reminds me of something Albert Einstein once said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe”.

    Stacy,

” … his NCAA bracket *were* he picked Sycasuse in the second round … But see, I’m mature enough to understand that humans are full of mistakes …”

    Wow, just wow.

You jump on someone for written error as you produce one yourself.

Read “Audacity of Hope.” Read it and weep. Obama’s intelligence, understanding, and world-view WAAAAAAY surpasses that of Palin’s any day of the week and twice on Sundays. You will also understand that his compassion is real. The current POTUS has a heightened sense of urgency, NOT ego, that is driving him (and SHOULD be driving us).

Get over it. He’s the one for the times, and he is OUR president. If for some uneducated, unfathomable reason you cannot respect him, at least respect the office he holds. If Sarah Palin wants to be my next president, she’ll be laughed off the face of the planet. Count on it.

Saran, also too, is smart there back in that so very needed common-sense, oh gosh, ya know? It’s about that patriotic common guy sense, also, where good God-fearing dead fish go with flows, also, too, and no dead ducks or lame ducks get socialism or that so not needed marxism and inexperienced administratism as a mayor, also. Too. (Wink!)

  5. Barbara says:

Stacy is right – I’m from Alaska and it was exactly as she said. Obama’s operatives were draining our Alaska coffers and trying to shackle Gov. Palin in her post. She did the unexpected and what was best for the people by turning the reins over to a very capable Lt. Gov, who is doing a great job by the way. Now Alaska can move forward and Gov. Palin, through her use of social networking, can help get the real truth of what is going on in government out to the American people. We are being lied to by our very own government who wants to take over everything. I believe in the Constitution and the limited role of government.
Since when did the government ever do ANYTHING efficiently? That’s why we have power within the states. That’s where it belongs. Not everything is across the board in decision making. Every state, county, city has it’s own nuances that require specific evaluation. A one-stop-shop government cannot do what the states can do more appropriately and efficiently for their specific situations and geographic locations. Keep the power with the states.

for any of the liberal dolts who yak about her quitting….

since you liberal haters were the ones who filed all those frivolous ethics complaints (all thrown out), I will listen to your bullcrap the moment you start contributing money to pay for Sarah Palin’s legal bill to fight those phoney complaints…. amount needed is about $500,000 and she could not afford to pay that on $130k per year salary
your solution, the hater solution, stay in office to satisfy you haters, and go bankrupt paying for a lawyer for another year and a half.
brilliant and only acceptable to the left who suck at the government tit all the time and live off my taxes…

  9. Alexandra says:

Sarah Palin never once thought about what was good for Alaska when she resigned — with over 1/2 her term to go — the governorship. Her only priority was finishing her ghostwritten book and then going on her pretend “bus tour” across America to promote it. (I say pretend because the bus traveled across the country, but Sarah was on a private plane.) That whole back story is akin to Palin’s vehement attack on health care reform and government take-over of health care. The back story: Palin’s entire family enjoys government subsidized health care via Todd Palin’s membership in a indigenous Alaskan tribe. Palin is an actress…nothing more.

  10. Gone_Rogue says:

In his tea party speech, Tom Tancredo (with whom I support on immigration issues) called for “civics tests” for voters.

Mr. Tancredo’s speech preceded Ms. Palin’s speech.

In her Tea Party Convention speech, Sarah from Alaska uttered the word [Constitution] about 2 dozen times.

The Sunday after her speech in an interview with Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday, Palin called for Obama to “play the war card” by “declaring war with Iran.” [Sarah Palin]

That following Tuesday, a headline in the Dallas Morning News, Palin called for Texas to secede from the Union.

Had Sarah Palin bothered to take a 3rd grade civics class, she might have known that as per the US Constitution which she champions, only Congress “shall” declare war. I will not discuss the global implications of her statements.

Palin might also have known, that recently, when the question of Texas’ secession was posed to the US Supreme Court, Justice Scalia noted in a letter, that the issue had been settled during the Civil War some 200 years ago.

Palin should have taken into consideration that secession in Texas would mean the following:

    1. Loss of all military bases and jobs
    2. Loss of world class hospitals
    3. Loss of our border
    4. Loss of Federal Agencies such as the FAA, Homeland Security, Immigration Enforcement, hence creating open borders for Bin Laden and the Islam terrorists to enter this country.
    5. Loss of state universities and top notch research facilities.
    6. Loss of the military contractors, major oil and nuclear energy sectors.
    7. Loss of regulations against medicines, environmental safe guards, air safety, drug enforcement, etc.

The list is too long, but the result would be the creation of a new unsecure banana republic at US’ gate. It would mean a loss of millions of jobs, new import fees for businesses.

And what might have called the leader of this new banana republic? El Presidante Palin?

It is difficult to watch mainstream conservatives and Republicans defend Sarah Palin. As a woman and a true conservative, I take the time to study the issues (example) reading the WSJ, Politico, War Journal or watching CNBC and FOX Business News among others.

But it looks like the tides are about to turn such as this article here.

Last week Bill O’Reilly stated on Good Morning America that Palin “needs to go to college”. Perhaps O’Reilly did not know that she attended 6, before graduating.

In an interview to a Florida TV Station, Jeb Bush stated that he does not think that Palin is qualified for office; Neither does Dick Cheney.

If you saw his interview on “This Week on ABC”, Cheney’s facial expression belied more than his words.

Tom Tancredo in an interview this week stated that he thinks Palin is not presidential material. Tancredo also states that Juan McCain’s temper was not suited for the office.

In another article this week, the WSJ is making a correct comparison between Palin and the Reverend Jesse Jackson (a la Rush Limbaugh).

To be a Presidential candidate, a person must bring unity to the party. Thus far, as with everything in Palin’s past, she has divided the Alaska Republicans and Democrats, the McCain campaign staff, the GOP, the Tea Party Movement (with calls for joining the GOP).

Recently she attempted to do force a fight within News Corp’s entertainment and news divisions by forcing a fight with a cartoon on the show Family Guy.

Like I did in 2008, if Palin is the GOP nominee in 2012, I will vote a straight Democrat Party ticket.

  12. Onn says:

Oh she can beat Obama, definitely. Obama didn’t win against McCain by a landslide, per say. I don’t see how he could possibly hold many of the swing states again if Palin was running. Palin’s well liked outside of the extreme left wing, she can pull independents and moderates, as well as Republicans. And her hardcore supporters are energized at the prospect of her running for president. Obama’s got a big mess on his hands, the economy is more or less broken. Even if the unemployment rate came down to 7% by 2012 it would still be too high. But the underlying factor is the federal debt it wayyyy too high, and I think the country would take anyone over Obama on that point alone. She’s the right person for the job, she thinks differently than most politicians in Washington. She also has more experience than Obama at being in a leadership position. Obama is exactly why we don’t elect senators as President.

    Palin 2012

  13. CliffNZ says:

Amy, actually Stacey is accurate re the resigning. Nothing stunning about her comment. How positive a move it was for Alaska, and for her, is self evident. Or would it be ‘positive’ to remain 600 000 in debt due to bogus ethics complaints?

Shame you had to use a great quote as a personal insult.

  14. john carpenter says:

It’s incredible that so many people have failed to comprehend that the ability to be elected no longer has ANYTHING to do with academics, perceived “intelligence”, experience, or negatives.

The current man in the oval office would have been a distant also-ran a decade ago. His associations with Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and peripheral associations with known felons would have been deal breakers.

    It’s all about charisma, now.

Party affiliation? When Joe Lieberman was thrown to the curb by his party he simply ran as an independent and won laughing.

This just in: the dinosaurs and powerbrokers of both parties have been neutered; the “Tea Party” is for real as will be proved during the midterms when it takes down a few congressional seats.

The comparisons to 1854 are striking, which is what makes Palin such a legitimate threat to go the distance.

  15. Steve Matthews says:

“To be a Presidential candidate, a person must bring unity to the party.”

Absolute, utter nonsense. American political history is replete with conventions that were bitterly fought, idealistically divided, and which yet
    produced a winning presidential candidate.

In 1948, the Democratic party was not only “divided” it was spintered–and yet Truman won.

1964 was another democratic disaster with the LBJ-Robert Kennedy feud.

  16. Barbara says:

Palin’s about the only one who’s got it right. She has an uncanny ability to sense what’s welling up in the hearts of the people, the tempo of the times. She connects, unlike Washington who is so disconnected. And she’s not afraid to call them on it. Unlike many of our representatives in Congress, she stands firm in her convictions and her conservative beliefs. I haven’t seen her waver once in that respect. Whether she runs for POTUS or not is yet to be seen. That she has a voice and the guts to speak it is undeniable. She’s serving a purpose right now and I’m glad she’s out there, speaking up for the American people. Because tell me, WHO THE HELL ELSE IS????

  17. palinfan says:
