Tea Party Movement & Palin: No Credibility To Be Found

By Susan Thompson on April 3, 2010, 8:02 am

The Tea Party movement is a complete joke, at best. The group began their Tea Party Express off in Senator Harry Reid’s hometown of Searchlight, Nevada, in an attempt to scare voters to unseat the senator. First impressions mean a lot, and they decided to have their first event headlined by none other than Sarah Palin. This decision is a first impression disaster, and should result in a total loss of credibility for this movement.

Sarah Palin

Does anyone else question why people listen to her? Where is her political capital? She was a mayor of a small town in Alaska, was elected governor, but then quit amid ethics violations, and in the mean time was picked to be the Vice President nominee for the Republican ticket by an old man desperately attempting a political gamble. She aroused the conservative base, for a bit, and then started speaking more, and ruined any hope of a Republican ticket victory.

Tea Party Speech

All one has to do is get the transcript of her Tea Party speech or watch it on YouTube. She is no more than a political cheerleader. Most of her points come from bumper stickers, and speech experts would have to stretch to say she speaks at higher than a fifth grade level. There is no substance, just rah-rah rants, bashing, and scare tactics. That is it.

Youtube Speech

Also, while watching the speech on YouTube, look in the right hand corner of the screen. What is that object you may ask? Well, it is her book, which she gladly has displayed for all her followers to buy. Followers may not be the right term, for they are more used as consumers. She’ll get on her pedestal and spew some words, but nothing is said. She’ll happily take her huge payday for three minutes of useless words, sell some books, wave her fist around, and move on to her next event, where the same routine will continue. The people get used, and she gets rich.

I have been to the Tea Parties and I do not find them a joke. These are Americans that LOVE the United States and are taking a stance. What I find amazing they got little to no coverage from the msm before Sarah Palin spoke in Nevada. Then they were all over it including worldwide media attention.
I was at the one in New Lenox, IL that drew about 10,000 supporters. Did the media report that, not correctly anyway, they reported about 5,000.
So now it’s a big deal? Well it is!! NO violence, racism, just friendly people wanting to make a difference.
    OH—They will !!!!

This whole Fox news Palin tea party express is so lame. Then when you throw in the GOP chairman Steele’ escapades and Sean Hannity’s freedom express profit making lies, You cannot help to wonder about Americans intelligence.
