Toyota Recall Hysteria Growing Concern For The Automaker
By Susan Thompson on March 18, 2010, 3:51 pmMost people are amazed at the nonsensical charges thrown at Toyota (NYSE:TM) by congressional committees. Imagine, the head of Toyota has to come hat in hand to ask forgiveness from America. Most normal Americans are perplexed at a stuck gas pedal being the topic on the news for weeks, if not months.
The U.S. Auto Industry Plan Worked To Some Degree
The act on the part of the U.S. automakers to make believe they are not happy at Toyota’s predicament is a joke. General Motors and Ford are selling more cars than was expected. On the other hand, Toyota’s sales figures did not drop as much as expected.
However, Toyota is spending a small fortune on this recall. Recently, the San Diego “Swinger Club” owner has come under suspicion about his complaints concerning the Toyota he owned. At this writing, the New York woman who shot across traffic from her driveway, is in the process of being put in the category of “driver error” concerning her incident with the brakes.
Most people have had their gas pedal stuck to some extent when the carpeting gets entangled. To make it like the car runs by itself is absurd. The testimony in Washington, D.C. about the car trying to start itself when being towed is something out of Stephen King’s “Christine.” Just move the floor mats!
Japan Is King
Japan has surpassed China as the number one holder of our debt. Therefore, the congressional hearings were just shows for the American people. Even if Japan was making crappy cars, the U.S. needs buyers for its debt (Treasury Notes). If Japan would be insulted too much, the country would cease buying our debt. We must be nice to Japan like China. After all, without China we would have no clothing to wear. Doesn’t that say a lot for the fools running the congressional show?
Runaway cars are just myths that the American driver has dreamed up for profit. However, it does take the mind of the American people off the lousy economic condition prevalent in the United States. It’s okay to drive a Toyota. No one will die.

Are you serious? You reasoning is about as sound as the healthcare bill. Absolutely ridiculous!
You desperately NEED TO GET A CLUE! I hope you drive a Toyota and it takes you on the thrill ride of your life, YOU DESERVE IT!
“Runaway cars are just myths that the American driver has dreamed up for profit.” Tell that to the families of those who have died, i.e. the California family in August.
