Uganda Sacrificial Trend: Asima Baguma’s 17-Month-Old Son Beheaded
By Richard West on February 26, 2010, 9:00 pmA 17-month-old baby boy named Nicholas Baguma was murdered by beheading in Uganda at the hands of his father for a mere $2000. The headless child’s body was found by his mother, Asima Baguma, in a banana plantation on a remote farm in her village which is near the border of Congo. Detectives from the Uganda Criminal Investigations Department are shocked by the brutality of this particular case. They claim to have never seen anything like this.
Cash For Children
Andrew Baguma admitted to killing his son for money given to him by a wealthy businessman in the area who believed the head of this infant child would bring him more wealth. For his part, Andrew had high hopes for his $2000 share; he needed the money to start a bike repair business. According to police the belief that the burial of a child’s body parts leads to wealth is being promoted by what locals call witch doctors. Some Ugandans even sell their child to witch doctors for slaughter; if they do not have a child of their own, they will kidnap a child to sell.
Father Sits In Prison
According to Andrew, he and a friend beheaded his son and dug a shallow grave to bury his headless, lifeless body. Andrew sits in a Ugandan prison and so does the wealthy business man who hired Andrew to kill his son. The business man claims to know nothing of the transaction. As far as his wife, Asima, is concerned, Andrew should die for killing their son Nicholas. Andrew says that he still loves Asima and hopes that one day she will be able to forgive him.
