Unemployment Extension: Some Americans Being Left Out
By Richard West on August 12, 2010, 8:15 amSome Americans, with the number growing daily are being left out of any Unemployment Extension. Each state has a different criteria for the amount and duration of benefits. Those that have found no work and are no longer receiving Unemployment have dropped off the map. When they show up they will not be happy.
Unemployment Will Be Long Term
Unemployment at the present highs of around 10% will be with us for at least a decade. In fact, the number of unemployed staying below 10% is a negative figure. This is because if those who are Unemployed and not counted thought there was any prospect of employment they would enter the work force and force Unemployment numbers up.
With outsourcing of workers and insourcing of illegals there is little prospect of Unemployment abating any time soon. The real number of Unemployed and Underemployed workers is closer to 17%. This is a Depression era number that is often ignored.
Being Left Out Is Dangerous
How long can one be Unemployed? It breaks down the character of the country and poses a risk of violence. Not just a rise in crime, which has not and may not occur. The rise in crime is due to many factors. But, the Unemployed will become frustrated. When this occurs there is no telling what activities they may get involved with.
Government figures are not real anyway. The Unemployment figures are in reality higher and no person believes them. The government is not going to admit to its failures by telling the truth. This is similar to the government adjusting its figures monthly, talking about phantom jobs that were supposedly created when they know no such thing occurred. They are purely guesses.
