Why Democrats Need To Get Real On Health Care Reform And Act Now

During the Bush Administration, President George W. Bush rammed through Medicare legislation and did not care about his approval ratings. Why are democrats not getting real and using the majority that they have for only at most a few weeks or months to make things happen? Here are some reasons why democrats need to act now before Scott Brown is seated.

2010 Elections More Important Than The Greater Good Of Society?

Many democrats care more about keeping their seats than they do about doing what is right for every day, hard working Americans. With the new election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts, the democrats have lost their sixty seat majority. They only have until Mr. Brown is seated to get health care reform legislation passed. Why aren’t they acting quickly? The answer is simple; they do not want to go home to their states and not be re-elected in November.

Thirty Million Americans Are Uninsured

Thirty million Americans currently have no health insurance coverage at all. One thing about this issue is that liberals do not want to help those who are sinking without health care. However, when there is a tornado or hurricane, they are begging the government to help and saying it is their job to save their lives. Isn’t health care coverage the same thing? Health care coverage helps to improve the quality of life in Americans and protect them from going bankrupt from medical bills. Many people avoid going to the doctor or hospital at all because they are uninsured. This causes many deaths per year which could have been otherwise prevented.

Show Voters What You Stand For

Many democrats are too hesitant to act but don’t voters want to see politicians actually stand up for what they believe is right? If you might lose your seat during the 2010 election then wouldn’t you want to make what might be your last votes count? Voters wanted change and not acting on health care is not change it is what politicians have done for decades.
